Founders Keepers Cooperative

Cooperatively educating our children through hands-on enrichment, while facilitating growth and love for God and others.

Mission Statement: FKC is a parent run organization established to enrich our children’s home schooling experience in a safe and healthy Christian environment. Our goal is to cooperatively assist in the education of our children through non-academic, hands-on enrichment, while facilitating growth and love for God and others.

Statement of faith: We believe God is three persons in one: Father, Spirit and Son. We believe Jesus Christ, who is our Savior, is fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, died on the Cross for our sins and now reigns with the Father. We believe He will return in salvation and judgment. We believe in salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.

FKC is biblically based and a Christian run cooperative. Any family who is willing to respect our beliefs and fulfill the responsibilities laid out in the Handbook may apply to join the co-op. Leadership will perform interviews upon application and determine what is best for the group. The right to continue in the co-op can be denied to any family at any time by the co-op Board of Directors if the expectations set out in our handbook are not met or rules are broken. FKC is being run as a ministry of the Carmel Baptist Church. FKC is not intended to be the sole source of your child’s education.

REGISTRATION FOR THE 24-25 SCHOOL YEAR WILL OPEN SOON! The registration deadline for our current families is March 12, 2024. Registration for new families will open March 15, 2024 with a deadline of May 10, 2024.

Plan A Visit

Founders Keepers is always open to new families joining us at the start of each school year! To ensure FKC is a good fit for your family, we will host prospective families during our regular co-op day by appointment only. During your visit, students will participate in current classes, Moms will assist in at least one current class and have an interview with Leadership. This will give you a chance to see how we operate, meet our families and get a feel for who we are as a community! There is a $5 supply fee for each visiting student to ensure teachers can provide adequate supplies.

If you are interested in joining us for the 24-25 school year, please fill out the Open House form to secure your date and find additional details. There are a limited number of Open House dates available.

How Involved Do I have to be as a mom?

FKC cannot properly operate without all families being fully hands on and engaged! We require all Moms or Dads to lead teach at least one class per semester, volunteer for one position within our group and be willing to "jump in" as needed. You are required to attend each week with your children.

Do you offer Drop-Off services?

We do not. FKC is a parent run and operated co-op. Without each parent engaged, we cannot run smoothly.

I'm not a Christian - Can I join your co-op?

Yes! Any family who is willing to respect our beliefs and fulfill the responsibilities in our handbook may apply to join the co-op.

What are student Expectations?

Great question! All answers can be found in our handbook! Click Here to view our updated handbook!

Does FKC run background checks?

Yes. In order to attend our co-op, any adult that will be working with the children has to submit a background check form to a member of our leadership team PRIOR to the start of each school year. The safety of any student attending FKC is our top priority!
